Bad timing

I haven't played any poker in a while, so I went onto Full Tilt earlier today to work my game back into shape. For some reason, I thought a 6-max NL game would be the right venue for this, maybe because of the increased action? Good thinking, there. After a couple of hours and $175, Full Tilt went offline, and it looks like they're still offline.

Why couldn't that have happened during the brief window when I was up $4?

Groundhog Day

So everyone's a criminal now.

I'm sure everyone goes through highs and lows in their work, and that most people encounter projects that seem straightforward, but somehow turn into extended engagements. And then three or four of them go on at once. Well, maybe most people don't have jobs like that, but I'm sure I'm not alone. Throw in some priority time for Mrs. Jackmama and the toddlers (soon-to-be 3 and just-turned-1), and there just isn't much time left for blogging. And the criminality of it all.

I have been woefully out of touch with the bloggers in my blogroll, and so I find myself playing some catchup today. I see that Iggy moved back to his old haunts, and that Pauly is now including a little legalese at the bottom of every post, due to some sort of content thief. BG appears to have little playing for playing the horses, or at least to blog about them.

Oh, it's the dog days of winter, all right. Or the summer of our discontent. That's right, since poker is now illegal, I'm changing the content of this blog to malapropisms.

Much like the groundhog, I appear for a specific reason. If the dust is being knocked off the blog, it means I must be headed to Las Vegas (because it's legal to transfer money to a casino to play poker!). I'll be flying the friendly skies on March 14, in order to enjoy a full four days of the first round of March Madness. Ah, sweet, sweet gambling.

I may or may not continue to post updates. I have promised in the past to continue, and then fallen off the wagon. I have been comforted by the knowledge that very few people actually read this blog, and of those that do, most consider it a clever semi-bluff when I promise continue. We'll see.
